Superbetter
Jane McGonigal shares her resiliency-boosting game SuperBetter, a novel tool to help people stay positive and motivated while recovering from health problems. She also compellingly explains the big-picture value of games and makes me feel great about my rotating app addictions. The hook: folks told her they'll regret wasting time on games on their deathbeds so she highlights just what common deathbed regrets people have and how games oppose them. The whole talk clocks in at under 20 minutes and she promises to give 7 1/2 of those back. Enjoy!

a beautiful day for personal choice
Election day was pure genius. Cheers to love, weed, and women!
A roll call of highlights:
Washington and Colorado legalized it
Washington, Maryland, and Maine agreed all adults can marry if they so choose
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill beat Todd "legitimate rapes don't cause pregnancy" Akin
Wisconsin elected it's first female senator, Tammy Baldwin, who became the first openly gay senator
Massachusetts elected their first female senator, Occupy Wall Street supporter Elizabeth Warren, turned their back on their former governor and approved medical marijuana in one fell swoop
New Hampshire elected the first all female congressional delegation
The 2013 Senate will include a record 20 females, and every female incumbent up for re-election won her race.
Minority, women, and young voters bossed things around, and threaten the GOP agenda indefinitely.
Social evolution is real. Luckily, if you don't want to partake in marijuana use or marry a member of your own sex, you don't have to. Personal freedom! It isn't just for some.
Now enjoy these at turns hilarious, frightening, and classic quotes from this election season.
